Spirit of the Valley Invitational - October 1, 2022
11345 Hardin Valley Road, Knoxville, TN 37932
It is our sincere pleasure to welcome you and your band back to the Spirit of the Valley Invitational marching band contest on October 1st, 2022 on the campus of Hardin Valley Academy in West Knoxville. We are working hard to provide a contest experience that will build your students’ confidence as well as give you valuable feedback to take with you into the closing weeks of the marching season.
We have assembled a highly qualified and talented panel of adjudicators who will evaluate your ensemble in the areas of music performance, music ensemble, music effect, visual performance, visual ensemble, visual effect, percussion, and color guard. We will also be featuring a music overview evaluator who will consider all parts of the musical program and provide feedback but will not score the ensemble. In addition to recorded feedback and scores, you and your staff will have the opportunity to attend critique with the adjudicators. This is a great chance to discuss potential methods of improving your program as you begin to make the final push of the marching band season.
Classes:
1A: 1-35 performers
2A: 36-70 performers
3A: 71-105 performers
4A: 106-140 performers
5A: 141-174 performers
6A: 175+ performers
