The "band parents" are invaluable to the success of our band program. We rely on your help... from handing out water at football games, to chaperoning and driving trucks to competitions. Our parents are the "unsung heros" that make or break the kids' musical experience. ​

You can help in the following areas:

Band Camp Support

• Uniform Fitting - help fitting/alterations of uniforms and shoes.
• Chaperones - help directors enforce rules and conduct during lunch and break times.
• Food - help prepare, pack, and serve food.

Fall Football Game & Contest Support

• ​Uniform Crew - help fitting/alterations of uniforms, shoes, and tuxedos at competitions. Help maintain and inventory uniforms at home games.
• Pit crew - loading and driving trucks to games and contests. Help move props at home games.
• Fundraising - strategize and implement options for raising money for the band
• Chaperones - travel on the buses to events helping directors enforce rules and conduct, and do roll call.
• Travel Food - help prepare, pack, and serve food at events.
• Hospitality & banquets - helping prepare and serve food for judges at events. Planning and coordinating the End-of-Year banquet.
• Props - building the props used during performances as well general maintenance of equipment and trailers
• General volunteer - any help that does not fit in the above categories

Winter Indoor Ensemble Support

• ​Uniform Crew - help fitting/alterations of uniforms, & shoes at competitions. Help maintain and inventory uniforms at competitions.
• Pit crew - building the props, loading and driving trucks to games and contests, general maintenance of equipment & trailers, and moving props at home games and competitions.
• Fundraising - strategize and implement options for raising money for the band
• Chaperones - helping directors enforce rules and conduct
• Hospitality - helping prepare and serve food for judges & band directors at home competitions. 
  

​Miscellaneous Support

• ​Chick-Fil-A Sandwich Sales - sell sandwiches to the school during designated lunch breaks. The profits go to the band. 
• Bake Sales - donate or sell baked goods during home football games.  The profits go to the band.
• General Volunteer - work events, competitions, button making, show shirt distributions, meals during indoor season, Halloween and Senior activities, and so much more.

Communication Among Volunteers

Volunteers communicate in multiple ways throughout the season. All parents will receive email notifications but for time sensitive communication we use text groups for general communication. We recommend also joining the Band Parent Association Facebook Group.  When you join a volunteer group (like Pit Crew or Uniform Committee, you will often communicate in smaller text groups created by team leaders.
